Den ene kan v\u00e6re tyk, og den anden kan v\u00e6re veltr\u00e6net.<\/p>\n<p>De vejer stadig det samme, men hvor den veltr\u00e6nede persons v\u00e6gt bl.a. best\u00e5r af en st\u00f8rre muskelmasse, har den anden mere fedt. De f\u00e6rreste vil dog p\u00e5st\u00e5, at de to personer er lige sunde.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Body_mass_index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Body Mass Index<\/a> blev opfundet i 1832 af den belgiske videnskabsmand Adolphe Quetelet. Han havde brug for en m\u00e5de at sammenligne v\u00e6gt og h\u00f8jde p\u00e5 befolkningsgrupper i de industrialiserede lande. Her var der nemlig fremgang i \u00f8konomierne, hvilket ogs\u00e5 kunne ses i voksende andele af overv\u00e6gtige.<\/p>\n<p>Quetelet var ikke l\u00e6ge, og han havde ikke et \u00f8nske om, at Body Mass Index skulle bruges som en diagnose. Body Mass Index var udelukkende t\u00e6nkt som en m\u00e5de at g\u00f8re befolkningsgrupper sammenlignelige.<\/p>\n<h2>Formel: Hvordan udregner man BMI?<\/h2>\n<p>BMI udregnes p\u00e5 baggrund af din v\u00e6gt og h\u00f8jde, og popul\u00e6rt sagt et tal for hvor meget du vejer i forhold til din v\u00e6gt.&nbsp;Formlen for Body Mass Index&nbsp;er:<\/p>\n<p>Body Mass Index = v\u00e6gt (kg) \/ (h\u00f8jde (m) *&nbsp;h\u00f8jde (m))<\/p>\n<p>Et eksempel kunne v\u00e6re en person som vejer 78 kg og som er 1,82 m h\u00f8j. Vedkommendes Body Mass Index er: 78 \/ (1,82*1,82) = 23,5, og i f\u00f8lge tabellen ovenfor er vedkommende normalv\u00e6gtig.<\/p>\n<h2>Test: Hvad er et normalt BMI?<\/h2>\n<p>I f\u00f8lge standardtabellen for Body Mass Index har du et normalt BMI, hvis det ligger mellem 18,5 &#8211; 24,9. I det interval betegnes man som v\u00e6rende normalv\u00e6gtig.<\/p>\n<p>Men i den virkelige verden er der desv\u00e6rre ikke noget simpelt svar p\u00e5, hvad et normalt BMI er. Body Mass Index siger kun noget om forholdet mellem din v\u00e6gt og h\u00f8jde. Det er en simplificeret tabel, som ikke tager h\u00f8jde for hvordan du er bygget, din muskelmasse og din fedtmasse. Man kan derfor sagtens v\u00e6re normalv\u00e6gtig, uden at BMI n\u00f8dvendigvis ligger mellem 18,5 &#8211; 24,9.<\/p>\n<h2>BMI beregner for b\u00f8rn (2 &#8211; 5 \u00e5r)<\/h2>\n<p>Body Mass Index&nbsp;blev oprindeligt udviklet til voksne mennesker og derfor passer b\u00f8rn ikke ind i BMI-systemet. B\u00f8rn fra 2-5 \u00e5r klassificeres i f\u00f8lge <a href=\"http:\/\/www.who.int\/mediacentre\/factsheets\/fs311\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WHO<\/a> efter to grafer: en for pige og en for drenge, som WHO har udviklet. Her kan man vurdere, om b\u00f8rn er normalv\u00e6gtige, overv\u00e6gtige, fede eller underv\u00e6gtig.<\/p>\n<p>WHO har to grafer &#8211; en for piger og en for drenge. En anden standard er <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldobesity.org\/resources\/child-obesity\/newchildcutoffs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">worldobesity<\/a>, som defineret lidt anderledes end WHOs standard.<\/p>\n<h2>BMI udregning for b\u00f8rn, unge og teenagere (5 &#8211; 19 \u00e5r)<\/h2>\n<p>Body Mass Index&nbsp;blev udviklet med voksne mennesker for \u00f8je, derfor passer skalaen ikke p\u00e5 vokse under 19 \u00e5r. De siger kun noget om forholdet mellem v\u00e6gt og h\u00f8jde i forhold til en globalt standard.<\/p>\n<h1>Idealv\u00e6gt<\/h1>\n<hr>\n<p>L\u00e6s om idealv\u00e6gt og find ud af, hvordan du beregner din idealv\u00e6gt.<\/p>\n<h2>Hvad er min idealv\u00e6gt?: Idealv\u00e6gt beregner for kvinder og m\u00e6nd<\/h2>\n<p>Idealv\u00e6gt har v\u00e6ret et diskussionsemne i lang tid. Hundredvis af formler og teorier er blevet opfundet i et fors\u00f8g p\u00e5 at finde svaret p\u00e5, hvor meget man ideelt skal veje. Men igen af formlerne har fundet svaret endnu. Udfordringen er, at idealv\u00e6gten er unik for alle. Din fedtprocent afh\u00e6nger af k\u00f8n, kropsbygning og hvor meget man tr\u00e6ner. Den generelle regel er, at m\u00e6nds fedtprocent b\u00f8r ligge mellem 10 &#8211; 20%, og at kvinders fedtprocent b\u00f8r ligge mellem 20 &#8211; 30%.<\/p>\n<h2>Hvordan h\u00e6nger min v\u00e6gt og fedtprocent sammen?<\/h2>\n<p>Der er ikke nogen direkte sammenh\u00e6ng mellem v\u00e6gt og fedtprocent, da man ikke kan beregne din fedtprocent ud fra din v\u00e6gt. Man kan dele din v\u00e6gt op i to dele &#8211; din fedtfri v\u00e6gt som er din v\u00e6gt minus dit fedt, og v\u00e6gten af din fedt. Hvis ens fedtfri v\u00e6gt forbliver det sammen samtidig med at ens fedtv\u00e6gt stiger, stiger ens samlet v\u00e6gt og ens fedtprocent.<\/p>\n<h2>BMI,&nbsp;sundhed og fedtprocent<\/h2>\n<p>Professor Bente Klarlund p\u00e5peger ogs\u00e5 problemet med Body Mass Index som en indikator for sundhed i <a href=\"http:\/\/politiken.dk\/forbrugogliv\/sundhedogmotion\/sundhedsp\/article5591298.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Politiken. <\/a>Hun skriver, at fedtprocent er et m\u00e5l, man skal v\u00e6re varsom med at l\u00e6gge for meget i. V\u00e6gt er blot en af mange faktorer, n\u00e5r man vurderer personers generelle sundhed. Men det fort\u00e6ller Body Mass Index dig ikke noget om.<\/p>\n<h2>Body Mass Index er et statistikv\u00e6rkt\u00f8j<\/h2>\n<p>Ophavsmanden til Body Mass Index, den belgiske videnskabsmand <a href=\"http:\/\/ndt.oxfordjournals.org\/content\/23\/1\/47.full\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adolphe Quetelet<\/a>, havde i 1800-tallet brug for en m\u00e5de at sammenligne v\u00e6gt og h\u00f8jde p\u00e5 befolkningsgrupper i de industrialiserede lande. Her var der nemlig fremgang i \u00f8konomierne, hvilket ogs\u00e5 kunne ses i voksende andele af overv\u00e6gtige. Quetelet var ikke l\u00e6ge og havde ikke et \u00f8nske om, at Body Mass Index skulle bruges som en diagnose. Body Mass Index var udelukkende t\u00e6nkt som en m\u00e5de at g\u00f8re befolkningsgrupper sammenlignelige.
